Ack Champaigne founded the Electronic Company (EI) in 1974 with the purpose of providing process controllers for dust removal equipment in the Air Pollution Control Division of wheel grinders.After the successful delivery of the process controller, the wheelset Grinding and sandblasting division asked Mr. Champaigne to provide a media stream monitoring system and controller for a Boeing 747 jumbo jet project.Sixteen grinding wheels were installed on a large monorail shot peening machine.Looking for additional marketing opportunities, Mr. Champaigne developed a medium flow valve for air sandblasters, which he named MagnaValve®.It was so popular that it became the driving force for a full line of shot blasting and abrasive sandblasting cleaning markets.The line now includes shot and sandblast cleaning process controls, monitors, air and wheel sandblasters for MagnaValve, certified Almen gauges and Certified Almen test strips.
